Building Resilience Through Boxing
Hidden Boys offers weekly trauma-sensitive boxing sessions for boys and young men living in a Salvation Army shelter in Utrecht.

Hidden Boys offers weekly trauma-sensitive boxing sessions for boys and young men living in a Salvation Army shelter in Utrecht. Many have experienced homelessness and are dealing with mental health challenges, addiction or a lack of support.
In each session, they practise more than punches. They learn to recognise tension, set boundaries and stay in control when emotions run high. Boxing becomes a way to discover their strength without letting it take over.
The sessions are clear, calm and structured. There is space to practise, make mistakes and try again. Step by step, participants build confidence, self-control and trust in themselves and others.
