Move Forward is a Dutch non-profit organization with an intensive dance, basketball and rap program to empower teenagers growing up under tough conditions.
After successful editions in Haiti and The Netherlands, we will continue to launch our projects in other countries.
Each project consists three parts:
1. TAKE OFF PROGRAM: 10 Days. 1 Tournament. 1 Block Party.
2. CHECK UP: 1 Month. 1 Focus. Local team and international team will evaluate and recreate the follow up program together that will work for the country we are in.
3. FLY PROGRAM: 1 Year. 4 intensive weekends. Plus a lifetime individual support for the teenagers who are ready to fly and know where they want to go to.
The TAKE OFF program is the most intensive one, bringing a drastic change in the lives of participating teenagers as our movement program will help them to deal with unprocessed emotions of traumatic experiences. The TAKE OFF program is an equal collaboration between our Dutch team and the local team. Our local partners will be in charge of the FLY program with support of the Dutch team.
DANCE, BASKETBALL AND RAP remain the main disciplines of our program, to enlarge the impact we have added:
HEALTHY FOOD nutritious meals made by locals for all the participants and volunteers.
INDIVIDUAL COACHING by local social workers to make sure every teenager get noticed and supported.
SOLVE A LOCAL ISSUE discuss and solve specific issues in the neighborhood.
We are a team of freelancers without the need of having an office to do our work.
